You would need proof that your hours being cut was retaliation. Which is damn near impossible to prove, especially when labor is being cut company wide.

Technically being on the phone talking about personal things is time theft, but it’s not a major thing. My SM went to a craft store to get shelves for her home while she was supposed to be on the floor, and she hardly shows up to the store as it is. Nothing has ever been done.

In my experience, it’s not worth it. Try and get a transfer at some point or a different job in general, where you don’t have to deal with the bullshit.
