Mans orders a trenta cold brew coffee with extra cold foam, no problem.
Asks me for a trenta nitro lid, and I apologize and explain to him that the largest size we carry is a venti.
Proceeds to get angry with me and asks me what the point of his coffee is.
Um you could take the lid off? I can't give you something that doesn't exist, it is literally impossible. Like, buddy, I'm not withholding this lid from you in spite-- if we had it I would give it to you.
He huffs at me, takes his cold brew and leaves.
I'm baffled, like what did he expect me to do in this situation lol

He expected you to produce it from the back, obviously.. every customer who asks for things we don’t have always asks “what about in the back though?”

I once had a older woman get mad at one our my fellow baristas because she thought she refused to give her a egg tray for her egg bites. We had been out of the egg trays for a day and she had told the woman that but she kept insisting that we had them and that we were just refusing to give one to her 🙃

I don’t think OP was saying they don’t exist, just that their store doesn’t carry them. My store doesn’t either. I assume many of the stores going completely strawless do though.
