Ours is an older model but on the smaller black box there should be an aux you can unplug to plug in yours

The smaller black box has an aux. If your phone doesn't have a port you'll need to buy a dongle

Hey, so i unplugged the AUX from the box and plugged in my own AUX then plugged into my phone. No music was working. Do i need to unplug the aux from the back and plug that same aux into my phone? or connect my own aux in its place?
Here is a pic of the back of the box:

That is the exact box I have at my store. I literally unplug the aux from the box (the one that's unplugged on the left of the photo) plug that into my dongle, and plug it into my phone. Then I just adjust the volume on my phone and on the box until sound comes out. It always works for me, I'm sorry it's not working for you 😩

once you plug your phone into the aux of the smaller black box, what is the next step? just play music? i feel like we’ve tried that

You probably need to adjust the volume. Try it on your phone first because if you change the volume on the store device you want to change it back for the next day.

Yep it should work. You may need to adjust the volume on your phone or on the box. The ring around the volume knob should turn green when there's sound coming out.

will that overide the playlist on the store ipod that its connected to?
canigetaventiuh2 points3y ago
The music from the iPod won't play at all once the aux is disconnected from the box

It's an auxiliary input port - just like on a car stereo, you plug it into your phone and just play!

Remember to be gentle with the cable (they can break easily, and then no music until a new one is shipped), and if your store has speakers outside, remember to stick to non-explicit music. Have fun!

do you not normally play songs? everyone in my store hates the “standard” playlists so there’s always someone with their phone connected

we always just have the ipod playing! nobody seems to mind lol but i’ve had enough of those terrible songs
