Ex Long Term Partner Here! Can someone briefly explain the dress code for me? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by OhHi-
Back in my day(hehe) 2005-2014 we had to wear white or black polo with black or khaki dress pants/skirt, black or tan socks.
2 holes in each ear, no visible tattoos or “unnatural” hair color. No nail polish or artificial nails.

I’m so curious about what y’all can wear now! I’m assuming tattoos are ok, yes?

honestly, the easiest thing would to be just to google the lookbook. the dress code is very lenient

Here’s the link to the look book, I usually just wear a blue or black shirt, sometimes it has buttons and a collar but isn’t necessary. Here’s the look book link for ya

Oh my, this is so different! I’d been wondering about the changes: it’s nice to see the code has become so broad. I never quite got out of the habit of buying only black and khaki pants...

Hahaha I can feel that one though. Most days this time of year I’m in jeans, but khaki shorts all summer long

i just got hired and i was told neutral/earthy toned color tops (or black top) with dark denims, black pants, or khakis

The exposed tattoo thing was such a big change. Before baristas had to wear long sleeves or high collars. One of my friends always wore a wrist sweatband thing. Now tattoos are allowed but no face tattoos.

I wear a black Starbucks tee with black cargos and black shoes. Most girls i work with wear long sleeves.
You can have more then one piercing now and have whatever color hair you want.
