How do you make an “iced” cappuccino? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by missesbossypants
I know in the real coffee world they don’t exist. But I’ve been told that Starbucks does have a recipe for it. Is it espresso, milk, and then cold foam? And if yes, which cold foam? Help! Thank you!

The old way was an iced latte with steamed foam scooped on top, now its the same but with cold foam.

It was changed from steamed foam the summer of 2018 when the introduced the cold foam cappuccino. Then the cold foam cappuccino was discontinued summer 2019. Now it’s just a latte with cold foam.

Slightly different than that tho. It’s espresso, milk to the middle line, ice to the top line, then the rest is cold foam(yes, even for a venti). I’ve heard it’s vanilla cold foam(nonfat+vanilla) and just nonfat cold foam with no flavour. I tend to do vanilla cold foam and I haven’t had anyone complain or tell me otherwise. And I do still believe it’s one less pump of syrup in the base, just like for a hot cappuccino!

As per beverage simplification, iced cap w/ cold foam. Is to be rang in as iced latte with cold foam.

This 100% depends on the country! In Finland the Cold Foam Cappuccino is alive and well = half a cup of ice topped with unsweetened cold foam to the brim, with two shots of espresso + simple syrup poured over top (you put the syrup into the pitcher and let the shots pour into that so they mix)

It’s basically a latte with cold foam. It used to be a nonfat latte with nonfat cold foam with no vanilla but that got discontinued. Now it would just be a latte with added cold foam and would get vanilla in the foam like always.

Espresso shots Into the cup, pour 2% milk into the cup just to the second line. Fill it with ice to the third line and cold foam with your cold foam blender on 4.

I thought it got changed back to steamed foam on top?
If not I'm SO happy, because that seemed gross tbh.

Typically i start with shots over ice, add ice then a little bit of milk then dry cold foam to the top, comes closest to the texture of the hot version
