Tell your SM, tell your DM, or you can even call PRSC. I would suggest bringing it up to your SM first tho. It’s not supposed to be the same person doing the tips every time because of this reason.

Good to know. Thanks !!

Tell your sm this concern in a serious manner. Hopefully they take it into account and you can have someone else do tips for 2 or 3 weeks. You’ll see a change if it’s happening almost instantly. Tip trends stay pretty close week over week. Then you’ll know if you have an issue. The amount of money your store makes doesn’t necessarily go hand in hand with tips. I’ve worked at only medium to high volume drive through and the slower stores actually made more in tips regularly. Keep your pitchforks sharp, but keep them in the mop sink until there is proof. Calling someone a thief without proof isn’t really the best thing to do unless you know it to be true. Maybe he’s just a weird dude who likes to get paid to count change?

That’s the thing though we don’t have all that many partners and no one has accused him yet we just are kinda skeptical. What made us wonder was the holidays, usually tips are $5-$7 above average but there was no change this last year. Maybe it’s all coincidence

Report this!

How do I do that without him knowing?
jackissosick3 points3y ago
But you also have more partners and more total hours so the volume of your store shouldn't have very much affect. If you think someone is stealing tips you should ask your manager to assign someone else to do them. Its increadibly easy

Not when your sm can’t keep things private and acts like a high schooler.

$2 an HOUR??? Ours is always around $0.75 :’( jeez
ashley-leigh6 points3y ago
$0.75?! Ours are about $.42 and a good week for us is $0.50 and we’re the busiest store in the district and make the most money
275bruhista1 points3y ago
Wow. To be fair I live in NOVA...aka the job capital of America. There’s a lot of people in this area who make way over six figures so that could be why my store makes more. I thought $0.75 was bad tho :(

I’m happy to know that some stores do get better tip rates; y’all deserve it for all that we have to put up with. I just finished doing tips today and our rate was $0.36 😂
275bruhista1 points3y ago
Omg I’m so sorry 😭
Pheebers7134 points3y ago
Uhhhhh what was your tips/hr? I would check cause that seems unreal and like someone made a mistake...
ghost_love6663 points3y ago
Woah my store usually averages $2.50-$4/hour in tips every week
275bruhista5 points3y ago
Holy shit where are you cause I’m transferring there that’s insane
kiervince2 points3y ago
ours is .40 an hour. i assume its because we’re tourist heavy and most of the people i see come in are from europe and other places where they dont tip. one time had a guy from germany throw his two pennies in my tip jar and smile at me like he had just dont the greatest act of selflessness ever.
kbattaglia1011 points3y ago
Ours is regularly under a $1. They showed me to do tips cause the partner that was doing them became a shift. And they showed me how. I’ve done them already 3 times and only ONCE has it been just a few cents over a $1
pleasesurpriseme1 points3y ago
Wow, our tip rate is usually between $1.10-1.50, more during holiday. Usually sitting at $1.20 or so.
Critical501 points3y ago
Was at a very high volume store. Off an interstate, tons of office buildings around us, and a hospital. Our tip rate was $1, rarely more. Sometimes less.
Im at a different store thats in a neighborhood now. Really chill here. Our tip rate is $1/hour still.

I work at a high volume store (busiest store in my district) and on average usually get $20-$25 weekly
