Do tips rollover or are they lost if we don’t pick up within certain time? (self.starbucksbaristas)

I’m newish (about 2 months) and I keep forgetting to ask for the shifts to open the safe so I can grab them. I’ve only collected them about 3 times in all time.

They stay in the bag until you pick them up. I don’t think they can legally do anything with them.

At least in the united states tips are considered wages and the only thing the store can do is hold them until you pick them up. My store has tips for a borrowed partner from a shift they worked about 10 years ago.
