I love working with it. We just got them in our store very recently. I am in love with them and I just tried blonde shots from it for the first time and honestly, they are way better than the ones coming from our dinosaur mastrenas. I know coffee as an industry isn't perfect. I know Starbucks as a corporation is a bit if a nightmare. But having the tools to deliver a better product and a higher quality coffee make me excited. Also, it's very efficient with milk and shots.

Cant wait till we get ours! That's great to hear about the blonde shots, didn't occur to me that they would taste better, but it makes sense!

I think it might be because on the mastrena 2 you dont have to rinse in between the different types of shots. on the older model, You were supposed to rinse between things like regular and blonde which most people aren’t taught, and if you didn’t the shots would taste really bad, especially the blonde ones.

As someone from a district who was one of the first to get them this is my best piece of advice I can give you. The key hole where you put the tabs in to wash it, wipe it with a cloth before and after you clean it if you can. Over time if you don’t do this it becomes super hard to twist it out. Some stores I’ve been to even need to use pliers to undo them. Keep the key hole clean to save you from a lot of pain!
(I don’t know if the old ones did this as I’ve never used them) also if your a closer make sure you check when the machine will shut down and demand cleaning. I’ve run into a problem where I didn’t check and while one was being washed the other one shut down and I was down both bars for 20 mins.

My store is new so we got the Mastrena 2. If you put the old one in front of me I would not know how to use it

My store opened one month too early to get them. Ugh. It keeps us up at night lol.
