The number of times I have that conversation in a week 😂
NyanBecca22 points3y ago
SAAAME, like listening isn’t that hard lmao
Kaywin15 points3y ago
Nor is READING THE DAMN LABEL
Seriously, it all comes out printed in clear font these days. It’s not like a year ago when we still scribbled on the cups in ancient runes.

Chai tea for Danielle!
This is wrong I got a tall pike.
Are you Danielle?
No I’m Pam.
....
crzyshiba58 points3y ago
Omg I love these lol because they don’t expect us to point out that they are fucking wrong and were rude for no fucking reason hahah
Assiqtaq40 points3y ago
I legit had a guy order a hot drink, come around to bar, watch me put a passion tea on bar, pick it up, stare at it, legitimately shrug and walk off with it.
No comprehension on how that makes any sense. Must be the center of his own universe where everything happens only for his benefit.
PlantKrys4 points3y ago
What the hell
Assiqtaq5 points3y ago
That was my question. I mean, the whole time he looked at it I didn't say anything because I thought it was obvious it wasn't his and he'd put it back down. When he walked away with it I think I just stood there with my mouth open for a minute. I will never again trust in a customer's ability to follow logic.
PlantKrys3 points3y ago
Agreed. Never trust a customer.
daniwhizbang29 points3y ago
I have no chill for assholes like that, especially the regulars. Sit down and shut the fuck up if you’re not back here making the drinks 🙄😡
PlantKrys8 points3y ago
Me either! And if the wrong person picks up someone else’s drink, I’ll flat out tell them, “this is not yours. You did not order a Venti. You literally just placed your order. Wait a couple more minutes.” 🤦🏻♀️
hellokitty193913 points3y ago
Do you ever say "I'm sorry, Jake, I thought you ordered a grande. But don't worry, Jake, we'll fix it. Don't worry, Jake, it will just take a few minutes." How many times do you think you'd have to call them "Jake" before they started to catch on?
TheStrouseShow11 points3y ago
Jackie: haha okay I’m a monster, but now I’m using a joke-y mcfun voice so everything is fine and me treating you like less of a person is absolutely acceptable.

I wrote a poem about this for my poetry class workshop and it was a big hit. All I had to do was tell 3 crazy stories about my time here😂
nkarriem9 points3y ago
Dammit, Jackie! 😂😂
Noxiel8 points3y ago
I don’t control the ~~weather~~ queue, Jackie
Kaywin7 points3y ago
Even if they weren’t paying attention to my callout, the number of customers who are either unable or unwilling to FUCKING READ THE CUP absolutely astounds me.
Also when people ordered an iced drink and reach for the first drink that comes out (in a hot cup.) Like, why?!
Geschinta2 points3y ago
My favorite is when these people pick up a drink, staring directly at the label, and ask if it's theirs. Like idfk, I don't know your name, it's peak and I'm not the one who rang you up you selectively illiterate piece of trash.
Better yet is when they just pick up any drink, take a sip without reading the label, THEN realise it's not theirs so we're have to remake it.

i can relate to this. While i may not be a barista, i do work as a tech support, and this type of crap happens on the daily lol

Nope. Just more aware, and not driven by my excuses. 🤷♂️
