Go mode is corporate’s way of making a few people run the store themselves. Unless you have a perfect team, it doesn’t work.
Partner during happy hour: hey just so you know times are at 11 minutes and you’re out of white mocha.
Me: if I’m out of white mocha and there’s no backup just fill the pump and we’ll worry about cleaning it later. I’m on solo bar I’m doing my best to be as fast as possible with 6 fraps per car.
Partner: well I’m just trying to help you. It’s not drive thru’s job to do backups (it is, especially when times are like that).
Me: well can you make these fraps? There all the same.
Partner: sorry in connecting with customers I can’t.
Me: AAHHH

Gotcha. Been like this at my store for a while. We had our core peak team transfer to a different store in two waves and I am going next week with second wave but it’s been roughing showing the new partners how to run this store, which before now I didn’t even realize how differently every store runs. Anyway they’re used to having full staff and not having to do anything extra but this store is always understaffed, dto always refills backups and helps keep up coffee and grabs unwarmed food and dtr will run and grab food when warming is swamped. Corporate if ur reading this FUCK u.

Typically, GO MODE is seen most often during Peak and during Happy Hour. Basically, every single partner is planted and the SM is supposed to schedule enough coverage so that every role/position in the store is accounted for. Except CS. Customer Support is temporarily flexed into a planted position, as well. Everyone stays where the are at until the rush is over.

Go mode has always been confusing for me too. No one tells me when we’re in go mode until I go to grab something and get sassed about being planted. (To be fair I’m a fairly green been still)
