idk why i just thought of this but i was/still am OUTRAGED and i want you guys to be too

i never work happy hours. i’m in college and my classes are Tuesday/Thursday heavy so i have those two days off usually.
my SM asked me if it was ok if i could work outside of my availability during Winter Break and i said absolutely! i just needed a few days off for christmas stuff with my family but i was scheduled to work the happy hour on the day after Christmas. that was fine by me

There was this partner. she doesn’t work for the company anymore but let’s call her Meg for story time sake. Meg is a grown ass adult woman and came to work at Sbux in August right when we were starting to get amped up for the holiday season. She gets trained on bar immediately and honestly understand why. things were starting to get busy and we needed some more trained hands on deck, especially since she was going to be working morning peaks mostly. however bar was the only thing Meg was capable of and somehow she got switched to nights for a few shifts and her lack of closing awareness led me and my shift to get out at midnight while she skipped off at 10:30.
My point here is that Meg only works on bar and during peak so she’s never figured out how the Happy Hour coupon works.

fast forward to Happy Hour on the day after christmas. it was yknow B U S Y
Meg gets put on solo DT and then happy hour starts. she takes people’s orders and they remind her they have a happy hour coupon. she says she’ll see them at the window.
about 30ish minutes go by and it’s rough but we’re pulling through until suddenly Meg pipes up over headset “hey how do you do the happy hour discount???”
everyone immediately stops what they’re doing and turns to face her because we know somethings fuCked up. Someone goes up and shows her how to do it and she says “ooh oops! i’ve been using people’s stars to get the free drink teeheehee” and continued on her merry way. HOW CAN YOU USE A CUSTOMERS STARS INSTEAD OF JUST ASKING HOW TO APPLY THE COUPON THE FIRST TIME. OR THE SECOND TIME. OR THE THIRD TIME???? WHY DID YOU WAIT UNTIL A CUSTOMER WITHOUT 150 STARS SHOWED UP??
all my other partners were PISSED and we were worrying someone would cuss us out for wrongfully using stars. no one did and also no one brought it up again. Meg isn’t working with us anymore though. she quit after holidays because she got into nursing school and honestly i think she’s too stupid to function but anyway. i’m still so angry over the fact that she did something so horrible and got away with it. i wished she’d gotten fired but oh well. Meg is someone else’s problem now

i just wanna know though, if she’d gotten caught doing that, what would the consequence be?

TLDR: an incapable former partner of mine used people’s stars instead of the Happy Hour coupon to ring up their free drink and got away with it
