Botta Bing Botta Boom it was happy hour today!
Hopefully y’all know about how the stores are not taking personal cups to be safe.

well this lady comes in with a frown on her face and begins to go in about how we shouldn’t even be putting merchandise out if we aren’t going to make drinks in them and asks how we are gonna stop someone from drinking in their personal cup in the lobby if they bring their own drink.... (like what? That’s you bringing your own material bro)

Anyway after a few minutes of us smiling and nodding at her attacking us all the baristas are just trying to make the moment right. so she brings in her cup and we pump the syrup into her cup as she holds it, cue shots to the shot glass and Poot it in her cup with out touching it, steaming and pouring milk without touching it and shaking topping on it without touching it.
Instead of thank you- she says “you’re really making me make my own drinks now”

Happy hour is a sad hour guys. They’ve been lying to us

she could have just, you know, poured it from the paper cup into her own cup after you guys handed it off way for her to be ~extra

Exactly! She claimed she didn’t want to use our wasteful cups but... funny enough she got another of the same drink in a regular cup for the happy hour deal. the world is a mystery :)

Some people just can’t help but be miserable, sorry you encountered one today.

Starbucks is huge on applauding entitled behavior like this. Watch her come back and demand to speak to the SM because “the baristas have done this for me before!” And bam everyone gets in trouble

I honestly love it when someone wants me to do something that the company has told me specifically not to do and they get upset about it, the angrier the better lol. We go all day trying to make every customer happy and making the moment right, and we get to tell Karen no without any repercussions from the company. They’re foaming at the mouth with anger and I’m just standing there smiling, knowing I’m right and they can’t do shit about it. It’s the little things.

That and someone angrily asking for the manager and I’m the acting shift Sup. It’s like crack.

Classic example of baristas going above and beyond to try to make the customer happy and instead of being gracious they get more mad. "Make the moment right" is bs when the customer doesn't want the moment to be right.
