Today make me want to throw up (self.starbucksbaristas)

I don’t know what happened today. We had a strong team for peak. It got so busy and maybe we could’ve used one more person but labor cuts. The partner that was SUPPOSED to be on warming today said she couldnt because she felt sick and had just gotten over the nausea she’s been feeling all week. I’d like to note that she feels nauseous 2 weeks every month. I’m kinda over it. But I digress. I got into warming and 3 minutes before peak actually starts... 12. Flipping. Bagels. Mobile order! And all of them have 2-4 cream cheeses as well as butter! Like what do you need it for. Needless to say, after that, I was behind with warming and started getting sensory overload (very prone to it as I get bad anxiety most mornings, working or not) so thankfully my shift moved me just in time and I went to drive bar but all the oven beeping was driving me insane and I couldn’t fully focus. Peak ended and I went on CS but not before I ran to the bathroom about to throw up. I came back and my manager (best manager ever) essentially ordered me to go take five minutes and drink water. After that everything was back to a normal good day but oh man did I want to die. I have fridays

Today was the worst day ever. I was drowning in mobile orders and I was literally stocking everything at the same time. We ran out of absolutely everything all at once. When I mean everything I mean everything. I was getting ice brewing filling carafes making mocha making drizzle bottles stocking the condo bar etc etc while juggling bar and helping dto take orders. I mean I’m a long partner but still. Ridiculous.
Over it.
