I feel you. I came home and ordered a pizza and ate half of it in the dark just so dead inside. I had an 8 hr shift and couldn’t even take a lunch it was so bad. Insanely busy and short staffed. At one point it was me and another partner who I love dearly but he is really only a POS kind of guy so I was baring my butt off and tryna do shift tasks and get caught up but it was so busy. Then he left and 2 closing peeps came in but one of them was a green bean. I made sure they got both 10’s but man we were hauling ass the whole time and barely got anything done and the safe was all fucked up bc the mids did the change order wrong and it was just not a good time. Like everyone pushes off things and they’re like oh the closers will get to it but barely schedule enough people and the people they do schedule are green beans and we are so far behind I feel bad that I’m having them do mountains of dishes or change trash bags or make a million whips because there’s just not enough time to train them.

No I feel you. It’s rough when you come into work wanting to get so many things done and get them done the right way, but then the other baristas come in and just want to stand there and yap their butts off with each other. It’s like I just want to shake them until they realize that the only way we can get out on time is if they just stay focused and get the stuff done. Like I will support you in any way that again, but I cannot, nor will I, carry you.

I do this every Sunday when I have to work with our holier than thou and elitist shift who constantly tells me I’m wrong about everything.
