Opening pastry case (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by marleygiles27
Hi Everyone I’d like some help I’m technically not a green bean because I’ve worked for Starbucks for over a year but it’s rare for me to open so I’ve only done the pastry case about twice, and it was with help.
Could someone please write step by step of how to do the pastry case in the morning when we’re opening because I’m not confident on it and it would be very helpful for me.
Thank youuu

There is a spot on the iPad that shows you exactly what goes where in the pastry case. You don’t need to guess or do it by memory

I'm pretty slow at stuff but logistically what I find helpful is pulling up the sirens eye on the iPad, wearing gloves so it goes faster, pulling out the displays to place stuff and putting them back in if they're hard to access, and starting at one and going to the other. Focus more on getting it done overall and not small details, you can tweak it once you're open since it tends to be slow at first

Turn on the ovens before starting anything so they can warm up and be ready to heat up the display sandwiches. Pull up the Siren’s Eye on the ipad (as others have said). Wear gloves so you can handle the pastries without having to use tongs. Other than those suggestions, I think it just takes practice and you’ll get more efficient!

Just ask for help finding the info on the iPad if you don’t already know how to find it😀I open quite a bit and I still look at the ipad. Don’t sweat it! So easy!
