"How do I use my expiring 30 stars?" The most exhausting experience I've had (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Gigameki
So I had a customer walk in, nice lady, but still, she tells me that she has 30 expiring stars, has no clue what stars are, and how to use them. So I explain it all to her, no problem, then tell her she can get a free syrup/shot/whatever, she gets bummed out before deciding to "work around the system."
So she tells me how she wants a latte with a free bit cinnamon dolce, proud of herself clearly for getting a cheaper cinnamon dolce latte, I tell her that it's not going to be that similar to one as more syrup goes in, and toppings, but she's convinced it's a way to make it cheaper. I show her the price difference and how it's barely different, and now she's getting upset.
This has already been at least 15 minutes, thankfully she's stepping aside to let other customers go.
So, finally, she decides on a vanilla frap with a dash of strawberry puree.
So...
I check her out..
30 were her expiring, she actually had 600 something stars.
