We did at least 16 on black Friday. And we're a cafe only store haha.

We had:

3 POS partners each with their own OS

2 warming

5 bar partners

2 hand off

A number of CS

The play caller

And multiple partners sampling and connecting with the line

Where are your stores, and what the heck are your sales like?? Most I've had at any of my stores was about 10 or 11 I think

We're a flagship reserve store in a mall. So black Friday was nuts for us haha. We had 3 SMs and the DM come to help.

15 For a pride parade in a historic downtown location (cafe location)

2 on warming

2 on hot bar

1 as hot bar support

2 on cold drinks (one for fraps and the other for shaken drinks.)

2 on POS

1 POS support

1 person for brewing

2 CS

1 at handoff

And the manager (she did a lot don’t worry)

I was on the shaken drinks and this was when we dropped the new infusions. I had three shakers and was cranking them baddies out. Thankfully we are a HUGE store so it didn’t even feel that cramped.

Edit: there was also once we had 12 people behind a kiosk Starbucks in the mall for Black Friday. That was wild especially since there is literally a pillar in the middle of the floor.

How do you fit two people on warming?
Pheebers713 1 points 3y ago
One person pulling stickers and preping food to go in the oven the other person putting it in the oven and then bagging it correctly. There is a sequence for it.
astivana 2 points 3y ago
Huh. There honestly isn’t enough room to fit two people at warning in my store.
Pheebers713 1 points 3y ago
My store is new and they made it huge. It also has beautiful artwork on the walls and cool netting. My favorite thing is to watch tourists come into the store only to stop dead in their tracks and look up and around the store in awe.

um 12 in a kiosk?? I’m praying for you

We're near a convention center, and get lots of traffic on big convention days: we've done a 17 person play:

4 planted bar

1 MOP handoff

2 planted POS

1 register support

2 on oven

2 CS

2 support to flex as needed

1 playcaller, who was generally not in the play unless needed, but just flexed people where they needed to go.

4 planted cold bar

2 handoff

2 warming (one for each oven)

1 CS

very fun. not chaotic at all. definitely didn’t have 40 drinks constantly lining the register, then lining the pastry case waiting to be made. definitely had fun that day.
