My store rotates all staff to do clean plays so every one does at least one every few weeks. That way it's not the same people every week being forced to stay late

Yo, thanks! Our store has clean play every Wednesday, and every week we are there until midnight. Me, one other barista, and our best shift. We have fun but geez, it is hard work!

At my store all the people who do clean play choose to themselves

I love clean play. No customers to tell me to put myself or others in danger so they can have their Starbucks. (see: no personal cups, no carafes, no I can’t and also won’t heat up that iced lemon loaf)

Wait y’all don’t have to do them? My gm cycles new people every week to do one. (With the minors as an except)

Clean play is definitely hard work, but it's also my favorite shift tbh. It's so satisfying cleaning all of the sometimes very gross stuff, and its nice to just put on my music and jam out instead of the sometimes very stressful job of interacting with angry customers

Our store doesn’t do clean plays. I wonder how we function being the highest volume store in our district

I do clean play every single week. It’s kinda better that way cause then I can keep track of what has and hasn’t been done and better focus my efforts.

I did clean play at my store for 5 months and now the clean play crew barely does anything, it’s sooo annoying!!! Like put me back on clean play

I love doing clean play! Before I got promoted I did clean play with my fav shift and we got so much done and it was awesome. Now that she left and I’m in charge of clean play we are understaffed literally every Sunday and the dude who hates cleaning the most gets scheduled with me. Because of this we end up catching up and cleaning for like most of our clean play time and not getting to do a clean play well :(

For real. Esp our store where we close at 10:30 so clean play goes past midnight

At my store we have teams that our SM created. So we always do the same week of the month with the same people. Unless someone calls out of course. This month I am a borrowed partner since my store is closed for renovation and so I have and will do clean play every week till my store is finish. So that’s fun 😊

the way in which y’all have people to do a clean play 😭. We have to borrow partners from other stores.

It's my opinion that the only person that should be responsible for clean plays is the SM that makes more than 4 times what everyone else does. But I guess making more doesnt mean you have to work harder.

I’ll start respecting those who do the clean play as soon as they start doing it correctly at my store. Right now they treat it like taking an extra 30 mins to wipe things down one more time before leaving

As a shift i throw a fit when i get assigned the clean play. I refuse to do that crap
