So I'm pretty new to the whole sbuxs world. I work at a licensed store. I have this one coworker who is such a lovely person. But they really just dont care about doing ... anything.. like at all. Today I was on bar all day doing hot and cold drinks which I really dont mind. My coworker with the issue was second bank/oven.
But they decided to take like 5 bathroom breaks, 5-10 minutes each. Still take their hour break (I'm in an airport so we get an hour break.) Then proceed to literally just casually talk on the phone while ignoring food that needs to be cooked. I've talked to managers and it's basically in one ear out the other. It's so frustrating because our unit has the lowest customer satisfaction. That's definitely not all on her, but atleast others are actually trying to step up their game a bit.

Sorry but welcome to life at a licensed store. I pick up slack for my co-workers all the time because if I don’t I get bitched at by the store that we’re inside of. I really wish I could give you better advice

Yeah I've already been accepting to it. I definitely dont over work myself anymore though. Theres days of we are slammed I wont do things others should. At that point it's not my fault my "support" was in the bathroom for 30 minutes right after their break.
It's just great to have somewhere I can rant a bit. The memes make things better too haha.

I legit pick up everyone's slack. We have a real problem with people not wanting to do their jobs. I sometimes work in different units, because they'll need a strong worker. But I'm just so sick and tired of it. Legit I'll be working bar, doing support, sometimes doing oven if I have a chance to grab food or pop some in.
I'll expedite for my banks, re stock all my own stuff. Milks, lids, straws, espresso ETC. I'll make mocha and whip cream for my PM crew. I bust my ass of the time. But my managers dont do anything about these other people. All I would like is effort from my coworkers. Just make life easier for us all.

Do you order your coworkers to do things when there are obvious things that need to be done? We are encouraged to do it at my store.

No I'm legit the new guy. I worked pm a bit and switched to am just cause I like being out early. But I try to ask certain people for help that will. But the bad eggs if you will dont get dealt with at all.
