t be honest it depends on what you like. i personally work at a drive thru and i love it. i love that we are always fast paced and there's a rush. it's fun to be able to interact with customers in that manner. i love taking orders too and getting unique with it as well. though, the cons of drive thru is that my manager is super concerned about times and prioritizing drive thru. when it's peak, it seems like they only care about the drive thru times. what's also unfortunate about drive thru is that i find customers to be more cranky and you have only a little amount of time to really get to know customers. it can get stressful especially when people are yelling at you or rushing you to get their items, though. something nice about working at a drive thru is that you get REALLY GOOD at making drinks quickly (and hopefully accurately).

i've also helped cover at other stores that were cafe only and it's really nice as well! at the cafes ive worked at, they had bars where you can talk to customers and really get to know them. one of the ones i helped at actually knew most customers by their names and went out to talk to customers throughout the day. it gets busy but not as busy as drive thru for sure!

for a personal opinion, i love drive thru a lot better but it does have its pros and cons! hope this helps :))

I loved my DT store because it was busy and we had headsets and there’s never less than 3 people on the floor.
