Really bad cold/flu, how to call out? (self.starbucksbaristas)

Tomorrow is my last day training but i feel like shit. I've been coughing non stop, sneezing and runny nose and my head feels like its gonna explode. My store is already closed, my shift is at 9 and we open at 530. How do I call out?

Call around 5:45. "Hey, this is Name. My shift is at 9, but I'm sick with a really bad cough and sniffles. I can't come in today."
Maybe ask if you can make up the hours on a different day

Thank you! I was going to go to urgent care just to make sure I dont have bronchitis or something, should I get a doctors note just in case?

You can tell them on the phone that you're going to the doctor's office, and ask if they want a copy of a doctor's note :)
