Tall rant about some interactions w customers (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by kk_catt
First off this lady came in looking for this certain cup so she comes up to us and asks if we have it (we didn’t have it). She says she traveled all the way here from Vancouver looking for it bc a store there had it but sold out. I figured she meant Vancouver BC so I said “I haven’t seen or heard of it recently so it must not have been released in America yet” and she got so mad and was like exCUSE ME “America” wow. Like i’m sorry I assumed you were from Canada because it’s 1 hour away whereas Vancouver WA is like 5 hours.

Another lady comes in and gets an americano and she walks away to go to the bathroom. Couple minutes later I see her standing around 10 ft from the hand off and she’s messing with her phone so I figured she doesn’t know I already finished her drink so I said “ma’am I have your americano ready right over here” and she comes up and says “you’re snotty huh”. I- I told you your drink was ready how am i being snotty i’m trying to let you get on your way.

I just don’t understand why people were overreacting with my comments today. I didn’t even think I was being rude.

I said “is there anything else I can help you with today?” with a smile and apparently that was rude. We can have the prettiest peach and there will still be someone who hates peaches 🤷🏼‍♀️

So true. People are just too sensitive. You can only control your reactions, so just keep in mind that their entire life is miserable from their own oversensitive reactions, it's not you, it's best for your own mental health to just forget them and move on.

I’ve had a woman call multiple times a day looking for the matte pink studded cup that’s benign released, we’ll spring set was done already, I told her we don’t have that cup, it might be at tarbucks, she doesn’t like my answer and is still calling every day
