do baristas get paid vacation or is it the same thing as paid sick days? if so how many after working for 8months? (might be a dumb question)

You start accumulating vacation time after one year of employment. I believe sick time is 1hour/every 30 hours worked and vacation time is 1hour/every 40 hours worked.
