First paycheck is lower than expected? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Its-Truman
Hey friends! I started my barista job at a target Starbucks on Monday the 2nd. Today I recieved my first paycheck, I was thrilled since I've been unemployed since January.. But then I noticed my check was way lower than I calculated, even with taxes taken out; why is this?

Any advice?

I believe they hold the check from the week that you had training. Apparently you will get that week of pay whenever you decide to leave. This happened to me too, and that’s what I was told from my supervisor. Hope that helps!

I don’t think that’s true because when I left everything was normal. Just go to mypartnerinfo and enable pop ups to see your paystub and you can see where all of the money went and how many hours were reported for you working

Then maybe I should check on it because I was missing 20 hours of training pay.

I guess it could local on local law too! Or if it’s corporate or licensed

As long as you were clocking into the iPad it’s almost impossible for hours to disappear(Even if your SM goes in and edits it there will be a log of them doing so)

If it was being placed into the book they may have missed it and its just simply a matter of informing them for the next paystub.

This might be a simple question but since you only started the 2nd, you know that you only are getting paid for the 2nd til the 8th right? With how training is usually short I can’t see you having too many hours.
