There's this women named Sandy tho now I'm questioning her name. I didn't find out until today, but she has a Starbucks discount card that's only for employees. This has been my first time on register in weeks so I've only had to deal with her at hand off. She's the kind to helicopter cover the bar to watch as I'm making her drink. And someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but is there a sweet cream cold foam button? She always gets a cold brew sweet cream and wants the cream blended before pouring, never says light ice but will say after five ice cubes to say "That's too much."
I'm getting off track, but she's so anal. after listing off her large order, she gave me her Starbucks discount card and after charging her, she said she didn't want to use the money on that card, just to have the discount applied and then she'll pay with her app. Note, she has different names on her card, her app, and the name she always goes by when filing an order. She kept how I did everything wrong when there was little communication on her end on how she wanted to pay. How do you have access and knowledge of a discount card but not of how the system is done, how the mobile systems works, but more importantly, how to explain it to someone who works at the same company as you?!
I liked to think the higher ups, at least from regional manager to low positions like baristas come from humble beginnings. They know the system and how to go about saying they're however long and complex favorites drink is to the workers when they decide to come in. But now I have even less confidence that the higher ups know anything about the company who signs their paycheck.
I'm sorry, this was a long rant and might not make sense but she really got to me today more than usual. I could have handled it better but even the customers who say what went down reassured me, made fun of her, and one even complimented me on keeping a straight face throughout what I think was 10 minutes of shit.
