Considering 90% of stores are now operational in China that is definitely true.

They don’t give a shit about us or public health for that matter

Starbucks and it’s franchise companies actively want staff to come in sick. If they didn’t they’d be closing stores/offering actual pay if we get forced into self isolation

My understanding based off the public statements they put out is that they offer 14 days of catastrophe pay if you might have corona or were close to someone who got it and then from there they revaluate up to 26 weeks. But I don’t know the details of that pay or how it differs in other countries than the states and I’m sure no one will get 26 weeks.
Store closures are very temporary though. My boss told me they’ll just close the store, sanitize it, then reopen.
But if shit hits the fan we’ll see how it goes. I don’t really posses any knowledge of how things when down in specific areas or at specific stores in China.

To be clear though I don’t necessarily think this is enough nor am I telling anyone to not be upset or worried. I just think it’s good to know your rights and where they begin and end.
