I just got back from maternity leave, I have a two month old at home and while they say kids are a much lower risk. I really just don’t want to risk his newborn immune system. Are we able to take leave without pay so we don’t have any chance of catching COVID-19? Does anyone know the terms of leave at this point in time?

You may actually be able to get leave with pay depending on if “recently pregnant” (especially if your child is only 2 months!) is considered immunocompromised and you are able to get a note from a doctor recommending quarantining yourself for that reason. I’m immunocompromised for other reasons and I called my doctor and without seeing me she was able to send me a note recommending quarantine and I got 2 weeks of quarantine pay through PCC! Everyone is having different experiences with them so I would not take my word as definitive by any means but you at the very least should be able to take an unpaid leave through calling PCC or worst case through talking to your store manager and explaining your fears and trying to get your shifts covered if it comes to that. Wishing you the best

Thank you! I appreciate your advice, I ended up speaking with my manager and she got me 30 days paid leave.💚

I know the terms, but they don't seem keen to honor the terms.
