Alright y'all, so I have a friend who is immunocompromised and will be forgoing her daily cold brew run until things settle down, so I thought I's gift her a bag of coffee and a large mason jar so she could make her own. Which of our roasts do you all think would make the best home brew? I'm reallly into Kenya iced pour overs, but I haven't tried making cold brew with it.

That blackberry Ethiopia blend would be a really yummy cold brew I bet! Especially with some vanilla 🤩

i'm not familiar with that one, is it from reserve store?

It’s the light blue bag, I have it at a regular Starbucks but I haven’t seen it in a few weeks. It might have been a limited grab or something, best coffee I’ve ever had though!

Ooooh I know what you’re talking about. We’re out at my store but I have a bag at home!

Sumatra and Komodo both lend themselves well to cold brew- the spicy and herbal notes make for distinct and unique flavors.

Guatemala is my favorite and I believe any medium roast should do. I calculated the ratio of coffee to water from the time when I was a partner to make it more doable at home. It's 6 Oz of coffee grounded on French press/coarse setting to 1 liter(or 4 cups) of water. Steep for 24 hours, filter out the grounds then add another 1 liter of water to dilute and voila cold brew for the week or 3 days depending how much you drink :). This should make a big Mason jar full.
