Just got off of a shift after having a message sent out to all partners saying that "Rest assured, the company has the financial resources to manage through this extraordinary crisis while keeping you safe and healthy" and man am i tired.

The likelyhood that everyone of us is a carrier is so high at this point that driving to work is a nauseating experience. Ive come home after my shifts to cry being scared that im going to be the one that infects my loved ones. Im currently unable to go see my mother who is recovering from brain surgery out of fear for her health. I cant skip out on work though.

I still have to pay bills and coprate has made it clear that all they care about is making money. They dont care about us as employees and they certainly dont care about their customers. Only their money.

Its gotten to a point of frustration its affecting my customer service ability. Each ding on the drive through or customer walking in pushes me closer and closer to a lack of empathy for it all and its upsetting. I like my team. I like coffee. But i cant stand how inconsiderate the whole ordeal is. Faking pleasantries with each interaction when in reality im angry and scared each time im forced to interact with someone that could give me the disease or that i could give the disease and the guilt that comes with it.

People should be staying home and safe and instead im filling out 6 item tickets and having to worry about drivethrough times.

Im very tired. Very very tired.

If they cared they would close all stores and pay us. Like plenty of other companies are doing, who set aside their profit greed to look after their employees.

Keep reaching out on social media and encourage friends and family to as well. Its possibly our only way to actually reach our corprate overlords.

Currently my store isn’t making any profit and I’ve seen the sales. My SM personally told me that he will not be sending any of us home and that he will not cut our hours until it’s no longer his decision. My heart goes out to those who are closing or getting cut ❤️

Im sorry for your struggles friend. My goodest of vibes are being sent to those worse off than i. Hopefully corprate does the right thing anf takes care of their employees soon but i know that is wishful thinking.
