I'm in NY thankfully not the city though, there's been a state of emergency for a few days, cases are popping up left and right yet we're open.
My family IS in NYC so I thankfully don't have immunocompromised people in my life, but that doesn't mean I WANT this.... even the healthy partners are nervous now.
My baristas with family that are compromised or are compromised themselves are FRANTIC they are terrified to come to work but like so many they need to too live
Idk what to tell them for comfort anymore im fairly young and theres NEVER been anything like this in my life but I'm trying to stay positive for my team
Truthfully though everytime i clock in is a slap to the face that this company values the $6 they make on drinks over our health... i promise the partners will never forget this.
