Can I get hired back at a location I was fired at? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by qtprince
I had to quit my other job as a barista (not at Starbucks) as I was being harassed and management fell off, and I was wondering if theres a policy on whether or not a manager can hire back someone at the same location they were fired at?
I plan on writing my old manager an email today, but because she’s extremely corporate and a district manager, I’m afraid she’ll tell me she can’t because of some sort of policy.
Any input would be appreciated. Thank you!

I knew a barista who had been fired with a DNR half a dozen times. Obviously he was rehired with a corporate DNR. It can happen, but you have to have connections and someone who believes in you or wow someone on an interview before they find out about the DNR. If the SM at the store you were fired from is very by the book, it would probably be easier to get rehired at another location and then put in for a transfer to the store that fired you.

Thank you. I’ll keep all that in mind then and maybe try and get hired at a different location in the next few weeks then.

Try the other location first and if those fail to work, then move to the location that fired you.

honestly for the most part you wont be hired back after being fired. especially at the same store. I left sbux in march of '17, and had to go through the entire re-application process and have the manager of the store I was applying to contact pcc and my previous manager about me and my mannerisms. good luck though!

Well fuck.
The only reason I want to try and get rehired at this location is because me and my last manager are on good terms and everyone who is still working there that I know vouches for me to come back.
Maybe I should just wait until one of the hotel stores opens back up after renovation, since they’re not corporate.
Yikes.
Thank you for the input! :)
