I asked my SM what it would take to shut our store down and she said "something that would damage starbucks image" I'm glad that management cares more about their image then about their employees.

Your SM may not be bad. Your SM may just be honest with what s/he is hearing from the DM, RM, or corporate. If s/he says bad optics are what it takes to shut down, give it to them. Contact media anonymously and give them the bad optics they need to shut down.
