work tomorrow... (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by foxxy_roxxy
i honestly dont wanna go to work tomorrow, i love my coworks, but im scared and just want to be in bed. i know my age group has a high chance of survival but my mental health cant handle this much more ive already started to retreat into my mind shutting off most of my brain power (those who know me know what i mean, its how i cope with stress sometime) so im just not caring about anything really other then wanting to be in my safe space (my room). i dont know how much more i can handle being forced to fake that im cool, calm and collected for my fellow partners and costumers. it sucks having to put on a brave face everyday when your crumbling inside. being a supervisor sucks on so many levels and this just added another

I just called in to work today. I don’t feel any regret. You shouldn’t either.

This company is letting us all down. Everyone should call out. Call PCC and your SM about catastrophe pay because you don't feel safe coming to work anymore.

Well you’re letting them down in a sense if you go in. The CDC is telling people to stay home. It’s not your fault starbucks doesn’t give a shit about our health and safety.

Don't make your team let you down. You're a team, and if you're so worried about letting them down, express your fears to them. If they're really your partners they will understand and you can avoid feeling guilty.
