Catastrophe Pay?? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by StrictGold3
I've noticed a lot of partners talking about catastrophe pay I was wondering how one would get that? I'm a partner in Ontario, so I don't know if that makes any difference, but as a partner is a high volume store, I really don't want to work with everything going on.

Someone posted that Canadian partners can get it same as U.S. partners. You just need your partner number and SIN (I think that's what they said your version of our SSN is). I don't know if it's the same number, but ours is 8887289411. Let your store manager know as well that you no longer feel safe at work and would like catastrophe pay. Don't let them tell you that you have to use up sick leave first because it's not true. The cat. pay is 14 days and after that if you still don't feel comfortable working you will have to use sick leave.

Thank you! How many hours are you getting paid per day? and is there any way that I can be denied?

Sorry for all the questions... I just have anxiety and like having all the stuff so I don't give in. I really don't want to work with all this, especially because they have made almost no changes since this started.

I'm actually not sure exactly how many hours I'll get paid. I assume what I was scheduled for. I'm going to call my SM tomorrow to verify. A few people on here are saying that their SM/DM are refusing to ok their catastrophe pay which is bullshit.

I'm scared thats what is going to happen. I live with 6 other people, and two of them are older, the last thing I want to do is to get it and or spread it. Plus I've read a lot of posts about people who have tested positive and still chose to go to Starbucks. As if the world will end if they stay home rather than spread it.
