Am I eligible for catastrophe pay ? (self.starbucksbaristas)

Only been working at Starbucks for 3 weeks but I'm scheduled about 25 hours per week including two 8 hour shifts this weekend... Kinda hesitant on even asking about catastrophe pay/sick time/ Vacation hours I feel like they're gonna laugh in my face but also scared to catch it and spread it to my family... Someone said I could try filing for unemployment if the store closes but I'm not even sure about that either

I'm hesitant to use it now because what if in two weeks it gets worse and I'll regret using it so fast hahaha idk... I think I'll try working just one more week

Me too! They released a statement for Canada $1 , but with partner hub being the communcation mess it is I’ve been unable to find the letter its referencing. After reading through comments what i have gathered is that you are able to claim two weeks catastrophe pay if you are scared to go into work as you have described. As of today it is no longer just for people exposed.

You are a partner therefore you qualify for the 2 weeks of catastrophe pay. Tell your manager that you don't feel safe working and that you want to use it. I'm on it now. If they say you can't have it, they're wrong, and you should call PCC. Please take care of yourself. Tell your coworkers, too.
