Screw all of this (self.starbucksbaristas)

I hate this pandemic and this company's inability to care for our needs. My original store closed but I was transferred to another store in my district, much like everyone else most likely. HOWEVER, this store is very VERY disorganized and the partners are just rude. I do not feel comfortable here and I cannot wait for my shift to end. I hate this. If none of this changes, I might quit. Not sure what I should do.

My two cents:

Don't quit unless you absolutely must. You've put time and energy into becoming a barista, built a reputation with your original partners, earned benefits, etc.

When your temporary partners are giving you a hard time, ask yourself, "Is getting away from these jerks really worth throwing away my benefits?" Probably not. Stay calm, give yourself a compliment and keep busy.

Nobody knows what the economy will look like a few months from now. Unless you've got a line on a better opportunity that you're sure won't fall through, fight to keep getting your paycheck until Starbucks agrees it's better to pitch in on your unemployment insurance or weathers the storm with you on the payroll.

If you don't feel safe going to work, please, call your SM and tell them. PCC is getting too many calls so they changed it so you don't even have to call them. We are all getting 14 days of catastrophe pay regardless of health issues. Unfortunately after that we are going to have to use up sick/vacation time. Tell everyone that you work with so that hopefully the stores all get closed and we stop putting employees and customers at risk.

I mean does this technically qualify for not feeling safe at work?

It sounds unsafe to your mental health.

Yup, what Philly said, take your 2 week cat pay, take temp unemployment if you need to, but keep your job for when this blows over! You will need a job, we will need a barista who is not rude like at this new store. Jobs might be scarce later.
