Instructions for visiting Drive Thru/Cafe stores (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by IniciandoElHackeo
Step 1: Approach the front door, grasp the handle and tug. When the door does not open, tug several more times.

Step 2: If step one has failed to open the door, proceed to the nearest window. Place your face as close to the window as possible and shade your eyes by holding a hand flat or slightly arced above your eyes. Stare into the lobby of the Starbucks.

Step 3: Return to the door and pull several more times. This is an important step because some doors use a special lock that can be unlocked by a certain number of determined pulls on the door. (Tip: Try a long sustained pull in addition to short pulls).

Step 4: Repeat step 2. This time try harder to make eye contact with an employee. When contact with employee is made, shrug your shoulders and lift your hands and attempt to appear confused or slightly puzzled. Remember, the baristas cannot hear you at all, so try to talk to them in addition to the shrugging gestures and facial expressions.

IMPORTANT: UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD YOU READ OR EVEN LOOK AT ANY OBVIOUSLY OR CLEARLY PLACED NOTICES OR SIGNAGE! (Nor should you attempt to deduce anything from the following facts: A constantly moving line of cars in the drive thru. A barista taking orders over a nearby speaker system.)

Good Luck!

What should I do if the drive through is closed too? Should I sit by the speaker box until the heat death of the universe?
IniciandoElHackeo [OP] 14 points 3y ago
Correct. Except once an hour you should bark out a "hello?!" just in case.
