If a company is willing to pay me more to go to work on Christmas Day(time and a half), then they’ll pay me when I’m risking my health and the health of those around me, then it’s not worth it to me. I’ll be just fine sitting at my house and collecting my check. But that’s just me

u/TrueLandscape0 said in another post "everyone is being offered the normal rate to be socially responsible and stay home. If you work, that means you are working at a rate of 3 dollars an hour. You are giving your labor for 3 dollars an hour."

For most people this isn't worth it.

Is it $3 pay during this time only or moving forward as well? I haven’t been able to figure that piece out

I think it’s during that thirty day period.

Hmm. Okay. I know I’ve been craving normalcy while at home, so I personally would work being that I’m younger with a relatively strong immune system. However, I live with someone immunocompromised and have made the decision to stay home. I’d say if you want a productive reason to get out of the house, take the raise, but if you’d rather stay home for any reason, take the break. It’s a super personal decision though based on your situation and your conversations with your SM. Good luck and take care!
