Why.... WHYWHYWHY (self.starbucksbaristas)

Anyone else totally uncomfortable being open? I know we get the 30 days but my boss is saying it’s only 30 days if our store closes and it’s only 2 weeks if we go voluntarily. I am sick to my stomach. I just totally hate this and I don’t think we should be open. DT only or not.

The message from Rossann said 30 days paid for everyone who doesn't feel safe. Your SM is poorly informed. Contact PCC if you need to.

I saw that on the email and then he said there’s “stipulations” and had a phone convo with everyone who said they didn’t feel safe.

You’re SM is wrong. My store’s staying open with reduced hours cause only 6 of us want to work. We’re getting the incentive pay and everyone else is getting the 30 days catastrophe day at their regular rate.

There are not any stipulations. Call PCC tomorrow and talk to them. Make sure you say that you don't feel safe working. Hopefully it gets worked out for you.

I just talked to one of my coworkers I was WRONG and misunderstood my SM bc he explained it weirdly. Thank you for helping me to look more into it!

Whoa. I don’t want to make a big deal about this, but I want you to know I actually really loved seeing this comment because I’m not sure I’ve ever seen anyone admit they’re wrong on the internet.

LOL! In this case, I’m very happy to be wrong!!

That's great news!

I decided to take it because I feels against my personal moral code. Take it if you are able to afford it and it's eating you up inside. That's why I did it.
