I work at a free standing licensed location. We are not getting an option for a raise or the 30 day catastrophe pay. Be grateful for the options y’all are given. I’ve been trying to file for unemployment for days...

I’m fortunate to get another $2 per hour. I’m still quitting though, it’s not worth it

Just wondering what job you are going to quit Starbucks to go to?

I’m not going to find another job right now. I’ll be prioritizing school

Right? All low tier jobs are basically at risk and as someone else said grocery stores are the only places really hiring and fuuuuuuck that's a scary hot spot.

Grocery stores are about the only thing hiring right now..

YES! THIS!! THANK YOU FOR SAYING THIS!!

I've been so annoyed at how r/startbucks and r/starbucksbaristas has been SO WHINY. We are SO LUCKY that Starbucks will keep on floating on through this pandemic. No one is getting laid off. We're getting paid to stay home, and those that come in get paid extra in a time \]

Where the rest of the restaurant/service industry is cutting back major hours. Bartenders, servers, hosts/hostesses, etc.. most of them can only hope for unemployment benefits, which are a fraction of their wage.. and who knows if the first benefit rolls in when rent is due.

Oh man, I'm so sorry :( I know there are neighborly groups like Nextdoor and Buy Nothing (on Facebook) where people have been really kind trying to help or their neighbors and meeting needs (meals and groceries usually) for those in the same spot. Good luck and hang in there!
