Mocha?!? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by avbzz
Hi partners!!! Do any of you know how I can get mocha out of cloth? I got mocha on my shoe a couple of weeks and it’s all dry and it looks like poop. Is there anything I can use for it to come out??

I'd try dish soap or laundry detergent as a first attempt. Both are designed to remove fats, including chocolate.

I'd maybe try dish soap, but a light amount applied on a towel with water so it's foamy. I'm just afraid of how a pair of canvas shoes would react to something as chemically rich as detergent being applied to them, like it might remove the mocha but a chemical stain could develop which would be permanent.

If you're looking for a home remedy, I'd probably try putting the stained part directly under a faucet of hot water and then vigorously rub put that spot with a towel with a little bit of soap on it (pour water on it so it's foamy).

If you're willing to buy a product specifically for cleaning shoes, I'd recommend Shoe MGK, it'd most likely be able to get the stain out and keep any shoes you own from becoming a victim from being worn to Starbucks.
