can someone please explain to me a little more in-depth how the 30 day pay works? is this being paid out to us bi-weekly every pay period like before or is there another way that they’re doing it? (new-ish partner here, only been with starbucks for about 5 months) (i.redd.it)

The pay is automatic. Starbucks has worked out your average hours from weeks 19 to 22 (February) and you will get the average hours paid at normal rate for the time you are not in work.

Managers - do not bother editing anything in payroll for staff who have taken the 30 days. Anything inputted will be voided as they already have everyone's average hours in the system. Staff who work but don't work their average hours will be topped up with cat pay to average hours.

Example: in February, Howard worked 24 hours each week except the last week where he worked 30. This is an average of 25.5 hours. If Howard doesn't work for 30 days, his paycheque will be 25.5 hours a week at his base rate. If he worked an 8 hour shift before self isolating (this week say) that week his pay will be 8 hours at $3 an hour more + 17.5 hours of cat pay at base rate. Catastrophe pay was originally set up as a safety net so partners do not lose pay through catastrophic closures.

at work (it won't work at home), go on the partnerhub, and look for a link on the homepage that says something about covid resources. this is a list of all the announcements the company has made regarding corona, and it has an announcement posted recently containing all the info available right now.

Some managers don’t even tell us. 😑 we had to find out through Reddit

i think the only reason i was told is because my store is closed until the 19th and the 30 day pay is automatic

Do we have to apply for the pay or does our sm do it. I dont see an apply link online and it looked like my sm did it, but I didnt get a clear answer.
