I’ve literally never seen milk in a bag... but 38 bags? I’m overwhelmed
Thirdatarian17 points3y ago
I've seen it in Honduras and I know Canada does too.
official_koda_21 points3y ago
How do you use bagged milk while working? Do you pour them in a container??
Omg it’s so strange to see how foreign bagged milk is to Americans when it’s all we know in Canada!
Snugglypuss3 points3y ago
30 year old Canadian here, bever ever have I seen this.
Pomitlicious1 points3y ago
Very interesting! Which province if you’re comfortable sharing?
furrytractor_15 points3y ago
you slap it like a bag of wine and then pull the plug
Tara_Kitten15 points3y ago
What country/state do you work that milk is bagged?
mommaofthree6740 points3y ago
Canada... the provinces of Ontario and Quebec have bagged milk.. It threw me off too when I first moved here from British Columbia.. My store can easily go through that much milk in 3 days...
Dawizba7 points3y ago
I'm honestly surprised that would last any store 3 days
yyz_barista3 points3y ago
OP is (probably) from Quebec since it's Quebon brand milk. But it's mostly Eastern Canada that has bagged milk (generally speaking)
MaciMusings1 points3y ago
Could be from Ottawa / Eastern ON, we use the same brand of milk in the region.
yyz_barista2 points3y ago
Y'all use Quebon in Ottawa? 😮 I've only seen it when I'm in Montreal / Quebec City, etc. I guess that makes sense since it's all distributed from the same warehouse.
We're Neilson out in Toronto.
MaciMusings2 points3y ago
The Ottawa regional distribution is done through GFS Boucherville (south shore Montreal), so yes, exactly that.

The middle school and high school I went to had bagged milk for the students. Ahhh, the good ol’ days
Red_Sweet_Tart14 points3y ago
As an ignorant American I will never understand bagged milk BUT good for you for giving all of that to your neighbors!!

Bagged milk 😯🤔
Simplyroro4 points3y ago
I'm trying to picture my stores daily use , 25 gals of whole milk and 60 gals of % .... what would this look like 🥴🥴🥴🥴🥴😳😳😳😭😭😭
yyz_barista2 points3y ago
It's 4 bags to a crate, each bag is slightly more than 1 gallon.
valucianos1 points3y ago
I would be so scared one of those would break in my car 🙃🙃
MommaOfThree6767 [OP]2 points3y ago
They are pretty hardy!
valucianos2 points3y ago
Thats good to know if I ever grocery shop in Canada! Also it’s amazing what you did 💕💕💕
MommaOfThree6767 [OP]2 points3y ago
I couldn’t let it go to waste... I know there are lots of families in need near me and due to the hoarding.... it’s hard to get basics
valucianos1 points3y ago
Indeed it is. It’s awesome to see people helping each other
spicypotatogurl1 points3y ago
Huh... interesting
amcc041 points3y ago
this makes me uncomfy. I’d be scared to hold it
MommaOfThree6767 [OP]1 points3y ago
Scared of what?
amcc041 points3y ago
spilling it. dropping it. how it feels
MommaOfThree6767 [OP]1 points3y ago
It’s not that bad.... you get used to it... I grew up with jugs of milk so it was strange when I first moved here....
Even with wet hands it’s not that bag holding them
hit-or-miss-my-ass1 points3y ago
You guys have milk in a bag??? 😂🏴
baguettesniper1 points3y ago
is it forever closed? or just until virus is better
MommaOfThree6767 [OP]1 points3y ago
Just for the course of the virus... we are a busy store!
Rainschach1 points3y ago
Same thing happened to us today
yyz_barista1 points3y ago
Bonjour from Ontario! Stay healthy!
MommaOfThree6767 [OP]1 points3y ago
Where are you? I’m Ottawa :)
yyz_barista1 points3y ago
Toronto, so I've been learning about the nuances about GFS deliveries in Ottawa from another barista!
