What kind of person should I be? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by The_Worst_Barista
So between the auditing dates of Febuary 3-March 3 I averaged 43+ hours a week, on March 9th I started a new job with keeping 1or 2 shifts at Starbucks. If I took the catastrophe pay I assume I'd receive what my average hours were capped at 40. Meaning I'd making a whole lot more than I would have even working if I choose to stay. And my new job is an actual essential business that won't close, and I've been reassured I won't be let go. So should I take the catastrophe pay to be paid my old average number of hours worked or because I'm not completely scared of getting sick just stick around to help my manager and other fellow shifts out......

I'm just really stuck for advise, and feel if I asked my manager she's going to tell me do what I feel comfortable doing. Sorry for format posting from the app.

from what ive heard, you’ll be getting paid based on that average of hours if you work or not so its up to you tbh!

im just a lowly coffee wench but from my understanding if your average for the time period was (for example) 30 hours and you only work 10 hours, you’ll still get paid for the 30 (but with the 10 +$3/hr)

@ anyone correct me if im wrong please!
