*Craft Coffee* has much more in it than just tips for brewing. It has chapters on the science of growing and brewing and tasting, as well as sections on the different species and varietals of beans, methods for processing, etc. She even gets into the history and economics of coffee trade. I learned a ton from reading this book, more than Starbucks Coffee Academy. It's refreshing to learn from outside Starbucks perspective. You will see some things Starbucks gets right and some they get wrong; very illuminating.

*Uncommon Grounds* is also super interesting, but as you can tell from the title is much more focused on history and economics. Some good chapters on Starbucks' role in the history of the trade.
