What is with you guys??? (self.starbucksbaristas)

You all complain about customers coming in to get coffee, saying you can make it at home.

Then you all post about going to get your markout (one i just saw was for cold brew). How is that any different from customers?? Especially considering we get a free pound of coffee to take home.

There’s a difference between a partner (who knows how shitty and stressful the job is) coming in for free food offered by the company (especially considering you don’t know their financial situation), and an entitled customer leaving the house just to get a coffee, especially considering the partner probably is having to be out of the house anyway for work.

I am trying to make allowances for people being anxious. It comes out in all different ways. Also, I get your point 100% and I get their points 100% This is a tough, scary, cabin-fever inducing load of stress all around. I know I have gotten testy at times during this, but my motives were always pure. Hang in there, stay positive (even when negativity starts flying... ESPECIALLY when negativity starts flying) and stay safe.

A lot of those posts I think are referring to the pound of coffee and calling it their mark out so they can make their own cold brew at home but you could be right too

As much as I would like to get my mark outs even though I took the paid leave..I’m not. I feel like that’s still giving Starbucks business, and I don’t like the idea of that since in my opinion Starbucks should close ALL stores with pay. And I sure as hell wouldn’t go to my own store.
