Any Partners out there live in TX? (self.starbucksbaristas)

I wanted to ask and see if anyone knew what it was like to work in East Texas, specifically Longview, since I might be moving there. I would go to those stores myself to feel it out, but I love out of state and traveling to there besides moving wouldn’t be in the budget.

I’ll just say, Longview is it’s own weird twilight zone. They have their own local commercials and their own news. It’s kind of an odd place in Texas if I say so myself. I’ve spent most of my life in central north Texas so maybe it’s just a cultural difference but it is a little more extreme.
I really recommend DFW area or Austin if you’re looking for normalcy, if you want more Of a backwoods in the pines twilight zone feel.. then Longview, East Texas is for you.
Also summers are hot as piss here, I mean half of the year is just blazing miserable hot and our liquor stores are closed on Sunday’s.
Good state with lots to see though.

Thanks, I greatly appreciate that. My girlfriend lives in Long Branch and we were either thinking of staying in nearby Nacogdoches or moving to Longview to be in a more city area. I want to know like what the store attitudes are like. Because I don’t know what to expect. I like Longview but I don’t know what the attitudes of partners and stores are like. Do people like working there? Or don’t like it? Reviews on Google help only so much

So you’re already acclimated to heat and humidity 😂 that will come in handy.
