None of the new drinks are my favorite. I work at a Starbucks in a grocery store. We're busy nonstop now.

I feel your pain 😭 I'm at a vons in the middle of a neighborhood and everyday were crazy busy, store sales (not Starbucks) up to 250,000,000 a day literally a million dollars a week!

I feel bad when customers order this
mk6yettatdi 41 points 3y ago
it’s actually amazing with vsc instead of nonfat
sackcuddler 13 points 3y ago
Tastes even better with packaged honey versus the honey pump!
Tangofett4 27 points 3y ago
Don't tell people that!
Peak baristas hate the packets
hushdrinkcoffee 2 points 3y ago
Baristas do hate it. Thought the honey pump stuff is vile. I had such high hopes for it.

keeping a pair of scissors in your apron helps x 10000000

It’s not because of that. It’s way too viscous to deal with especially with cold drinks.
ViAmplify 16 points 3y ago
it tastes like salty dish water
official_koda_ 8 points 3y ago
If any customers ask me about it, I’m gonna straight up tell them it’s not good...I want to tell them not to order it anytime somebody does. I’ve even told a regular not to order the golden drink when she asked about it, it’s so nasty.
CoffeeCat1990 [OP] 6 points 3y ago
lol I like the golden ginger drink, I find it very fragrant. I always let them try it out, and I’m always prepared for a remake honestly. It surprises me when they don’t bring it back.
_retail_bitch_ 3 points 3y ago
I have been telling people its not good, because it’s fuckin nasty, I usually suggest the salted caramel one
official_koda_ 3 points 3y ago
It would be better if it was made using the vanilla sweet cream...not sure who came up with using regular milk, it’s horrible
_retail_bitch_ 1 points 3y ago
I also have added vanilla syrup to the cold brew and I’ve done that for a few people and they actually really liked it. Idk the whole idea of using nonfat for that drink was just dumb, like I get it foams well most of the time but in a drink that’s wack to begin with... ew
official_koda_ 2 points 3y ago
I think it’s also just not a good mixture of ingredients in general. At a local coffee shop near me I’ve had cold brew with honey syrup(a MUCH better tasting syrup than ours) and it was really good. And I’m the type of person who usually always needs milk or cream in my coffee so I was hesitant at first but it was great.

U rite tho
Imnewtoit 4 points 3y ago
It needs a base with more fat in it. Maybe half and half or cream
sackcuddler 3 points 3y ago
One time we had someone in drive get a HCMT with 10 packets of honey 😔
Ziaheart 3 points 3y ago
I liked it. Not a fan of the salt, but all the other parts, I thought was good. /unpopularopinion
Inimitable--original 2 points 3y ago
Same!
rolizzl 1 points 3y ago
IT DOES!!! the salt was wayyy too overpowering for me lol
Meinax151 1 points 3y ago
I had to spit out the toasted honey cold foam when we first got it, the toasted honey salt topping tastes like chemicals!
xtremegryffie 1 points 3y ago
It tastes like sweat to me

Every barista at my store who tried it said the exact same thing.
crzyshiba 1 points 3y ago
Hahahah
Getpa -1 points 3y ago
Lol, all my co-workers mentioned that as soon as they tried it and most hate it. Me being a guy who don’t care still like the drink and order it once in awhile; even when my co-workers refuse to make it for me. 😂

I made it tho, posted it first in the Barista page, and then shared it here too.

Okay good!
CoffeeCat1990 [OP] 8 points 3y ago
lol I saw it take off there, figured more people would like it, it’s at like 800+ likes right now.
