Yiiiiikes we were initially told Saturday but now its Wednesday. Knowing my partners and there situations it's because many could use the boost of cat pay but the fact that we even need to open is ridiculous. There's only one store left in the district open so im assuming is too alleviate them but we're a cafe..... our precautions are decent but like i said early YIIIIIKES

Mobile orders only and drinks placed in reach of customer but more than 6ft from our bars, no custies in store for anything

My cafe only store is opening back up on the 6th. I'm staying on catastrophe pay though. AFAIK my coworkers are all going back to work then because they're desperate for money.

Good luck :-/ I thought that cafe stores would stay closed for the full 30 days of cat pay, but that was just my assumption.

My region of the country is still a good 2 weeks from peak of spread they say so i know my partners are trying to save up on the prem pay since it would be expiring right when our region is supposed to be at its worst..... so idk i dont think wed stay open much longer than 2/3 weeks before closing again OR sadly that a partner gets it

Ugh, this cannot be good.
My DT store was the last one open in the district I heard. Once that cat pay is up, I'm going to have to go in. Very nervous. Best of luck to you and your store.

There are plans to re-open a few cafe only stores in my district with the new entryway handoff scheme. I don't mind so much because all the office buildings next to those stores have everyone working from home, so there's going to be basically no customers.
I think the DMs goal is try to relieve some of the pressure on the DT stores in the neighboring districts.

Its understandable and my stores doing the entryway handoff as well but my store is in a busier area even before we closed our volume was cut yes but not nearly enough for the strict orders of NY

Honestly I'm not to worried personally about my partners performance I can't speak for all SSVs but I know my baristas are stressed and worried and im just gunna be kind and supportive to them in this troubling time. Just explain your concerns to the SSV and mention you dont feel strong on bar im sure they'll accommodate you.
