My store closed a week ago because the majority of the partners didn’t feel safe working during this pandemic. I haven’t been to another store, or even out of my house this week, but today I decided to go through a Starbucks that is still open.
I felt a huge mix of guilt and gratefulness. They were all so kind and I did leave a $10 tip. I don’t plan on going back out but I am very grateful for the partners that are continuing to serve in the midst of this... and I’m sorry for all the Karen’s that still come through.
My heart goes out to all my fellow partners right now, those staying home and those working.

That is so sweet of you. Coming from someone who is still working at a store, as long as you’re nice we are okay with you coming through!

That’s a relief to hear. I’ve been battling all week if I should go out and go through a drive thru because ya know, I can (and have) been making coffee at home this past week. But that one moment of normalcy helped relieve a little anxiety. I know I should stay inside though. And I probably won’t go through again.

I totally get the normalcy thing. That’s why I’m working. My husband is still having to go in too.

Hey! I really appreciate this :) my store shut down and I’ve been working in a new location and drive thru was new to me. It’s been SO wonderful to get to chat with people at the window for a couple seconds, especially fellow partners. I miss my regulars so much, so seeing friendly faces in the drive thru has been a bonus over the last few days 😊

HHH same I was soo nervous about the new location and how they would treat me but they were super nice. Tomorrow I’m at a different location again so let’s hope that goes well
